This funding opportunity supports research to identify genetic, genomic, and molecular variants underlying phenotypes and behaviors associated with substance use disorders and related comorbidities. It encourages integrative genomics, multi-omics, and neuroscience approaches to uncover novel mechanisms and therapeutic targets across the addiction trajectory. Clinical trials are not allowed under this program.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. entities such as county and state governments, institutions of higher education, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal governments, and other specified organizations including federal agencies and non-U.S. entities.
