This funding supports investigator-initiated early phase (Phase 0, I, II) clinical trials focused on cancer-targeted diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Projects must involve at least one clinical trial related to NCI research programs such as Cancer Therapy Evaluation, Imaging, Diagnosis, Radiation Research, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, or HIV/AIDS Malignancies. Applicants may propose trials alone or combined with other research aims.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as federally recognized Native American tribal governments, public housing authorities, higher education institutions, for-profit organizations, nonprofits, small businesses, government entities, and various minority-serving institutions
