Supports NIH-supported investigator groups to acquire a single new, costly, specialized, commercially available instrument or integrated system. Eligible institutions must not have received S10 instrumentation funding of $500,001 or more in the prior 3 fiscal years. Awards range from $25,000 to $350,000, supporting instruments like cell sorters, microscopes, ultramicrotomes, and gel imagers.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits (with or without 501(c)(3) status), private and public institutions of higher education, and other specified organizations. Institutions must meet funding history restrictions related to prior S10 awards.
