This opportunity funds pilot effectiveness trials for mental health interventions, emphasizing optimization of preventive and therapeutic treatments with prior efficacy evidence for broader or community use. It also supports innovative service interventions that engage mechanisms underlying clinical and functional outcomes, provider behavior, and service access or continuity, consistent with the NIMH experimental therapeutics approach. Clinical trials are required.
