This opportunity funds confirmatory efficacy clinical trials of non-pharmacological and pharmacological interventions for mental disorders in adults and children. Trials must address unmet therapeutic needs and follow the experimental therapeutics approach to elucidate disease mechanisms and intervention effects. Applicants must comply with R01 Clinical Trial Required guidelines and contribute to advancing mental health treatment knowledge.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal organizations and governments, small businesses, private and public institutions of higher education, state and local governments, nonprofits with and without 501(c)(3) status, and for-profit organizations other than small businesses.
