This fellowship supports outstanding postdoctoral candidates with exceptional mentors to conduct bold, innovative research projects. It encourages early, goal-directed planning and strong training in quantitative reasoning and experimental design. Support is limited to the first 3 years in a specific lab to promote timely completion of mentored training. Clinical trials are not allowed under this award.
