This program funds small research projects that can be completed quickly with limited resources. It supports pilot and feasibility studies, secondary data analysis, small self-contained projects, and development of research methods and new technologies. Applications proposing clinical trials are not accepted.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as tribal governments, nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, small businesses, and others including federally recognized and non-recognized tribal organizations and foreign entities.
