Supports projects that translate scientific and engineering advances into new methods or tools addressing disease research and care delivery challenges. Funding targets innovations applicable in pre-clinical, clinical, and non-clinical environments domestically or abroad, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of diseases within participating institutes' missions.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, institutions of higher education, tribal governments, government entities, and various minority-serving institutions. Both domestic and certain foreign entities may apply.
