This funding opportunity supports exploratory and developmental bioengineering research projects that demonstrate feasibility and potential utility of new capabilities or improvements in quality, speed, efficacy, operability, costs, or accessibility. Research may target basic biomedical, pre-clinical, or clinical research, as well as clinical care delivery and accessibility enhancements. Applications may optionally include clinical trials.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as for-profit (excluding small businesses), nonprofits, institutions of higher education, government entities, tribal organizations, and others including federal agencies and foreign organizations.
