Supports rigorous preclinical testing using mouse models to evaluate repurposable and investigational drugs, alone or combined with non-pharmacologic interventions, targeting Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The initiative aims to establish proof of concept for rational drug repositioning and combination therapy development, excluding clinical trials.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as government entities, for-profit and nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, tribal governments, and other specified groups including foreign organizations and regional bodies.
