The MERIT Award Extension provides Early Stage Investigators with up to 7 years of grant support in two segments, offering flexibility and additional time to launch and establish their research careers. This opportunity supports creativity and innovation with optional clinical trial involvement and is submitted via Type 4 eSubmission.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as city, county, state governments, various educational institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal organizations, and federal agencies. Both domestic and certain non-domestic entities may apply.
