This funding opportunity supports pilot and preliminary research to prepare for larger-scale trials testing interventions, practices, and policies aimed at optimizing access, quality, effectiveness, affordability, and utilization of treatments for drug, tobacco, and alcohol use disorders. It includes research on novel and commonly used approaches, as well as services addressing comorbid medical and mental health conditions. Resources are provided to assess feasibility, acceptability, and utility of these approaches.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of entities such as tribal governments, for-profit organizations, city and county governments, educational institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, and various federally recognized and community-based organizations.
