This funding opportunity supports high-risk clinical trials aimed at developing or improving in vivo high-resolution structural and functional imaging technologies for the living human inner ear. Projects should enhance visualization of auditory and vestibular components in awake patients using non-invasive techniques. Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged to advance imaging probes, contrast agents, and methodologies that significantly improve detail and accuracy beyond current capabilities.
