This opportunity supports crosscutting activities within materials research that emphasize diversity and inclusion, international cooperation, and education. Funded activities include workshops, institutes, conferences, and outreach targeting underserved populations. Proposals that do not fit traditional research programs but advance materials research and education are encouraged. Coordination of REU/RET sites and supplements are also supported.
