The LTREB Program supports long-term research projects generating extended time series data to address key questions in evolutionary biology, ecology, and ecosystem science. It funds decadal projects focusing on evolutionary processes, population and community dynamics, ecological feedbacks, and nutrient cycling. Initial funding covers 5 years with renewal for a second 5-year period. Marine ecological research is excluded, but evolutionary marine studies are accepted. Proposals must align with one of three research clusters and include detailed research plans.
Proposals may be submitted by U.S.-based non-profit non-academic organizations associated with research or education, and U.S. accredited institutions of higher education acting for their faculty. International branch campuses require justification.
