This funding supports applications to develop and conduct Clinical Coordinating Centers for investigator-initiated multi-site clinical trials including efficacy, comparative effectiveness, pragmatic, and dissemination and implementation science trials. It encourages innovative trial designs such as platform, adaptive, and Bayesian designs. Applications must present a scientific rationale and operational plan addressing project management, recruitment, milestones, trial conduct, and dissemination. Eligible applicants include various US government entities, nonprofits (with or without 501(c)(3) status), private and public institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments and organizations, small businesses, and for-profit organizations other than small businesses.
