This grant supports research activities focused on alternative jet fuels and environmental impacts, including aviation noise and emissions, through the FAA Center of Excellence. Funding is exclusively available to the 16 US university members of the ASCENT coalition, which leads cooperative aviation research to improve understanding and modeling of aviation systems.
Eligible applicants are private institutions of higher education that are members of the ASCENT coalition. Only these universities can apply for new grant opportunities under this program.
