This funding supports strengthening Kenya's public health systems by preventing avoidable epidemics, improving rapid detection and characterization of emerging biological threats, and enhancing response capabilities to international public health threats. It also funds implementation science initiatives to improve health outcomes, building on five years of global health security efforts.
