This limited competition grant supports resource-limited institutions in acquiring state-of-the-art scientific instruments to advance biomedical research and education. Funded instruments may be used in basic, translational, behavioral, or clinical biomedical fields. Applications will be peer-reviewed under NIH standards, and only meritorious proposals will be funded. Foreign organizations and components are not eligible.
Eligible applicants include state governments, public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal governments, and various government entities. Foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
