The StARR program supports resident clinicians by providing early, in-depth research experiences to cultivate a pool of clinician-investigators capable of conducting basic, clinical, and translational research. It aims to recruit, retain, and accelerate independence in research careers without supporting independent clinical trials.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as for-profit (excluding small businesses), nonprofits, government entities, educational institutions, tribal governments, and others. Foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
