This cooperative agreement funds Native American Tribes to prepare for and participate in negotiations with the Indian Health Service. It enables Tribes to assume control or contract health care programs, services, functions, and activities, providing flexibility to tailor health care delivery to community needs through self-governance options.
Eligible applicants are federally recognized Native American tribal governments and Native American tribal organizations that are not federally recognized. The funding supports tribal entities involved in health care program negotiations.
