This program funds Tribal Epidemiology Centers and associated Tribal and Urban Indian organizations to enhance public health capacity by fulfilling the seven functions defined in the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. Funding aims to support service across all 12 IHS administrative areas and the Urban population as a consolidated area, enabling comprehensive epidemiological support for American Indian/Alaska Native communities.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), and others as specified in additional eligibility information. Applicants must serve American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes
