Supports research to design novel or greatly improved research tools and methods that advance biology in bioinformatics, instrumentation, and research methods. Projects should develop, redesign, or adapt infrastructure with broad applicability and significant biological impact.
Eligible applicants include US-based non-profit, non-academic organizations associated with research or education, and US institutions of higher education acting on behalf of faculty. There are no restrictions on who may serve as PI.
