Focuses on cyberinfrastructure, biological collections, and biological field stations/marine labs. Also funds planning activities or workshops to coordinate infrastructure capacity building. Projects must produce quality, openly accessible resources serving broad research communities beyond single teams.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based non-profit non-academic organizations associated with research or education, and U.S. institutions of higher education acting for their faculty. Proposals involving international branch campuses require justification.
