This program funds research that advances understanding of neural mechanisms underlying human cognition and behavior through theory-driven experiments linking physiology and behavior. It supports a wide range of physiological methods including neuroimaging, stimulation, lesion analysis, and computational modeling. Proposals must demonstrate broader impacts such as outreach, mentoring, or increasing field visibility. Strong mentoring plans and data sharing are expected. Prior submission of a one-page summary to a program director is encouraged.
Eligibility is unrestricted and open to any type of entity. Contact the funding organization for any additional clarifications.
