This funding supports the development of summer research education programs for high school students, undergraduates, and science teachers. The programs focus on Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias, providing intensive research experiences to encourage further study and participation in biomedical and behavioral research. Independent clinical trials led by participants are not allowed, but participation in mentor-led clinical trials is permitted.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. government entities, nonprofits, educational institutions, small businesses, and tribal organizations. Eligibility spans city, state, county governments, and various educational and nonprofit organizations.
