This funding supports the development and implementation of summer research education programs for high school students, undergraduates, and science teachers. The programs provide intensive research experiences in Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias to broaden the skilled research workforce and encourage further biomedical and behavioral research participation. Independent clinical trials are not allowed, but mentored clinical trial experience is permitted.
Eligible applicants include state and local governments, tribal governments, for-profit organizations, nonprofits, institutions of higher education, small businesses, and community-based organizations. Foreign entities and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
