Supports doctoral dissertation research improvement grants in decision, risk, and management sciences. Funded research areas include judgment and decision making, decision analysis, risk perception and communication, societal decision making, and management science. Proposals must be theory-based, generalizable, and submitted by dissertation advisors on behalf of doctoral students at accredited U.S. Ph.D. granting institutions.
Eligible applicants are Ph.D. granting U.S. institutions of higher education submitting proposals through the dissertation advisor. The PI must be the dissertation advisor, and the doctoral student must be co-PI. Additional faculty advisors may be co-PIs.
