This funding opportunity supports early-stage projects proposing proof-of-concept studies to develop innovative technologies that enhance molecular or cellular characterization of cancer or improve biospecimen handling and quality control. Projects must focus on cancer-relevant applications and demonstrate technical feasibility. Clinical trials are not allowed. The program is part of the NCI's Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies initiative.
Eligible applicants include county, state, city, and tribal governments; independent school districts; private and public higher education institutions; small businesses; nonprofits; and other specified organizations within the United States.
