The MMS Program supports interdisciplinary research developing innovative analytical and statistical methods and models for social, behavioral, and economic sciences. Funding mechanisms include regular research awards, conference and community development support, doctoral dissertation research improvement grants, and undergraduate research supplements. The program encourages methodologically innovative, theory-grounded proposals with broad applicability across multiple fields.
Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Awards require a PI who is the doctoral student's advisor or faculty at the student's U.S. institution and a co-PI who is the doctoral student. Other awards have no restrictions.
