The Atmosphere Cluster supports fundamental research on atmospheric chemical, physical, and dynamical processes from the surface to the stratosphere. It funds studies on climate variability, atmospheric motions, cloud and precipitation physics, and severe weather predictability. Research methods include modeling, observations, laboratory and field experiments, and advancing measurement techniques. Proposals integrating education, outreach, and workforce development are encouraged.
Open to all types of entities without restrictions. Contact the funding organization for any additional eligibility clarifications.
