Supports new exploratory and developmental research projects focused on Down syndrome, encouraging innovative approaches and novel methodologies. Projects may assess feasibility of new scientific areas or experimental systems with potential for breakthroughs in biomedical, behavioral, or clinical research. Clinical trials are not allowed. Broad eligibility includes domestic and foreign organizations.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as for-profit (excluding small businesses), nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, tribal organizations, and foreign entities. Both domestic and international collaborations are allowed.
