This funding opportunity supports U54 Specialized Centers that form the Metastasis Research Network, focusing on comprehensive, systems-level understanding of cancer metastasis. Centers should propose overarching scientific themes pursued through multiple basic research projects using integrative approaches to study dynamic metastatic processes, including microenvironment interactions and therapy responses. Research on all cancer types, including rare and pediatric, is encouraged. Clinical trials are not allowed.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as public housing authorities, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal organizations, various government entities, and institutions of higher education. Foreign organizations and international collaborations are also eligible.
