This funding opportunity supports projects aimed at developing, characterizing, or improving research models and biology-based new approach methodologies (NAMs) for human health and diseases. Funded projects must have broad applicability across multiple NIH Institutes or Centers and address diseases impacting multiple organ systems. Applications focused on specific diseases or narrow research areas are not accepted. Clinical trials are not allowed under this grant.
