This program funds collaborative translational research projects that accelerate the translation of basic biological discoveries into clinical applications improving health. It supports partnerships between NIH intramural and extramural investigators to conduct clinical research at the NIH Clinical Center. Projects should address important disease processes or lead to new therapies, diagnostics, or prevention strategies aligned with NIH priorities.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. institutions such as higher education, nonprofits, tribal governments, small businesses, and government entities. Foreign organizations and components of U.S. organizations are also eligible, but foreign subawards/subcontracts are not allowed.
