The ECLIPSE program supports multidisciplinary research in plasma science and engineering that addresses fundamental scientific challenges with societal and technological impact. Funded topics include plasma surface interactions, atmospheric and dusty plasmas, sensor and computational modeling development, nano-photonics, and chemical measurement science. Proposals must demonstrate relevance to multiple NSF programs and broader impacts including diversity and workforce development.
Open to all types of organizations including academic, nonprofit, government, and industry. Proposals from HBCUs, MSIs, and EPSCoR jurisdictions are encouraged. Contact program officers for eligibility clarifications.
