This funding supports a single cooperative agreement to continue the CaRe-T1D Resource Center, focusing on innovative research into cardiovascular disease in type 1 diabetes. Funded activities include expanding the biorepository of human cardiovascular tissue, developing data commons and AI tools for data sharing, coordinating consortium research teams, and providing resources to the wider research community. The goal is to improve understanding and treatment of cardiovascular complications in type 1 diabetes.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. organizations such as nonprofits, universities, tribal governments, school districts, and government entities. Only the University of Florida may apply for this single source funding. Foreign organizations and components are not eligible.
