Supports research education activities that complement and enhance training of a workforce to meet biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research needs. The program aims to recruit individuals with specific backgrounds to research careers and foster understanding of research implications. Educational programs must be distinct from federally funded training grants and require institutional commitment with adequate resources.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, governments, educational institutions, small businesses, tribal organizations, and for-profit organizations other than small businesses. Foreign organizations and components are not eligible. Institutional commitment to support the program is required.
