Supports research education activities that complement and enhance training of a workforce to meet biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research needs. Funds programs that recruit individuals to research careers and foster understanding of research implications. Requires institutional commitment and distinct educational experiences from federally funded training programs. Foreign organizations and components are not eligible.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, for-profits (excluding small businesses), government entities, educational institutions, tribal organizations, and others as specified. Foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
