This grant supports community-based organizations to reduce Veteran suicide by providing or coordinating primarily non-clinical suicide prevention services. Funded activities include case management, peer support, linkage to VA care, emergency clinical services, and innovative approaches targeting Veterans and Active-Duty Service Members at risk who were previously out of VA’s reach. The program addresses critical gaps in Veteran suicide prevention for Federal Fiscal Year 2027.
Open to any type of entity, including community-based organizations, subject to additional eligibility clarifications. Eligible applicants must provide suicide prevention services to Veterans and Active-Duty Service Members.
