The EIC Transition funds innovation activities advancing novel technologies from experimental proof of principle (TRL 3/4) to validation in application-relevant environments (TRL 5/6). It offers grants up to EUR 2.5 million and booster grants up to EUR 50,000 to SMEs, start-ups, spin-offs, research organizations, and consortia. Extensive Business Acceleration Services including coaching, mentoring, and global partnerships are provided. Proposals can be in any scientific or technological field and must build on results from eligible EU-funded projects.
Eligible applicants include single SMEs, start-ups, spin-offs, research organizations, or consortia of 2-5 legal entities from EU Member States or Associated Countries. Larger companies are not eligible as single entities. Proposals must build on results from eligible prior projects at TRL 3 or 4.
