This program funds projects that enhance landslide risk assessments through detailed hazard mapping and analyses, improve community preparedness with outreach and education, and promote collaboration among government agencies, universities, and local organizations. Projects must address hazard mapping, planning, outreach, or Alaska-specific hazards to reduce landslide risks across the United States.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), special district governments, county governments, state governments, and city or township governments. Universities may participate on behalf of eligible government entities.
