Supports designated State and Territory agencies with cost-sharing awards for projects that protect, restore, enhance, or manage coastal wetland ecosystems. Funded activities include acquisition of real property interests and wetland restoration to benefit coastal communities, fish and wildlife habitats, and recreational users. Coastal wetlands provide flood protection, water quality maintenance, and economic benefits through fishing, boating, and tourism.
Eligible applicants are designated State and Territory government agencies. The grant is restricted to state governments within the United States.
