This grant supports partnerships to protect, improve, restore, and manage wetland ecosystems and habitats for wetlands-associated migratory birds and other wildlife in Canada. Funded activities include land acquisition, restoration, management, and enhancement of wetlands. Projects must demonstrate sustainable, long-term conservation and include a minimum 1:1 non-federal match, with at least half from U.S. sources. Eligible applicants span governments, nonprofits, individuals, and educational institutions.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments, special district governments, county and city governments, small businesses, individuals, nonprofits (both 501(c)(3) and non-501(c)(3)), state governments, and institutions of higher education.
