This funding supports tribal governing bodies and Alaska Native organizations in planning, developing, and implementing programs to enhance their capacity to regulate environmental quality under federal and tribal laws. Eligible applicants include federally recognized tribes, incorporated non-federally and state-recognized tribes, nonprofit Alaska Native entities, and consortia recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Projects focus on environmental regulatory enhancement.
