Supports competitively funded multi-state partnerships addressing specialty crop issues such as food safety, plant pests and diseases, research, and marketing. Projects must benefit two or more U.S. states or territories and improve the competitiveness of specialty crops in domestic or foreign markets through measurable outcomes.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (excluding higher education institutions), state governments, public and state-controlled higher education institutions, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments.
