Public Humanities Program Grants fund projects that preserve, promote, and share Florida's history, literature, cultures, and personal stories to enhance community understanding. Projects should foster public reflection on heritage and civic life. Grants last 12 months, with programming starting at least six weeks after the grant start. Eligible applicants include Florida nonprofits, government entities, and tribal governments. Priority is given to small to mid-sized organizations, first-time applicants, and projects serving underserved or rural communities.
Eligible applicants include Florida-based nonprofit organizations, state or local governments or agencies, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments with valid Unique Entity ID and Federal ID. Individuals, for-profits, foreign entities, and fiscal sponsors are ineligible.
