Core Research Grants provide up to $200,000 for PhD holders conducting advanced social science research aligned with RSF priorities. Applicants must submit a letter of inquiry and only invited proposals are accepted. Grants support research assistance, data acquisition, analysis, and investigator time. Projects with novel uses of existing data or original data collection, including field experiments and qualitative methods, are encouraged. The process is rigorous and competitive.
Applicants must hold a doctorate or demonstrate strong research ability without one. Students are not eligible. Both PIs and Co-PIs must meet these criteria.
