ERC Plus Grants support outstanding principal investigators globally to pursue bold, transformative research projects that exceed the scope of regular ERC grants. Funding up to €7 million is provided as a lump sum for projects lasting 4 to 7 years, conducted in EU or associated country institutions. Applications are open to all research fields on a bottom-up basis, with evaluation based on scientific excellence and intellectual leadership.
Open to researchers of any age and nationality residing anywhere, who plan to conduct research in EU or associated country host institutions. Applicants must have an outstanding scientific record and can only hold one ERC Plus Grant in their lifetime.
