This grant supports Tribes and one U.S. territory in implementing community-driven solutions to tackle the climate crisis. Funded projects focus on reducing greenhouse gases by 2030 and beyond in sectors including transportation, electric power, buildings, industry, agriculture, natural and working lands, and waste management. The program also promotes workforce development and job creation to accelerate the clean energy transition.
Eligible applicants are Tribes and one U.S. territory, specifically the Municipality of Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
