This funding supports State Historic Preservation Offices across states, territories, and associated states to carry out historic preservation activities including surveys, planning, technical assistance, physical preservation, and nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. Grants also assist federal, state, and local agencies, nonprofits, and individuals in preservation efforts, ensuring compliance with federal preservation laws and standards.
